I recently uncovered a problem in the iSCSI Target with the Linux
initiator. I failed to set the R2TSN field in the R2T PDU which is
set from the target to the initiator. Previous versions of the Linux
initiator did not flag this as an error, nor does the Solaris
initiator. It's a one line addition that I could give you if you'd
like. Otherwise you'll need to wait until build 56 of OpenSolaris.
I'm going to try and get this fix plus a few others into build 55
which is just opening if possible.
Stupid mistake on my part, sorry about that.

Has anyone had any luck getting the Solaris target working with the
Linux open-iscsi initiator? I'm using build 45, and I've tried
numerous open-iscsi versions, most recently 2.0-730. I can write
about a few hundred kB, sync, unmount, remount, and verify that the
data was written properly. If I write much more, I get I/O errors.
The Solaris initiator seems to work flawlessly with the same target.
I stopped getting responses from the open-iscsi folks (see the
following links), so I was hoping someone here had at least tried
the combination.
