Do You now how to install Sun StorageTek Common Array Manager[TM] Version 5.1.0.11 on Solaris snv_63 x86 or maybe SANTricity?

CAM, in my opinion, has a very, very broken installer. It still demands Sun's Portal 2.x, which comes with Solaris versions less than 10. Solaris 10 and above ship with Portal 3.x, and installation scripts in CAM will not account for this.

The only way to get it installed on Solaris 10 at least is to de- install the Portal 3.x packages and let the CAM installer install the 2.x ones. There are checks in its installation scripts that look for specific versions of Solaris, too, and will no work on snv.

The people at Sun who code on CAM really need to make it a priority to allow it to work with Portal 3.x, thus allowing it to be installed with no errors on Sun's current version of Solaris. Right now it's almost as if Solaris 10 (or greater) do not exist to them, or that Portal apps which require 3.x might also be running on the same instance.
