Just a few follow up comments on this discussion: Solaris 10 Update 3 (11/06) is the first release of Solaris to include the 3.x version of the web management console. All versions of Solaris prior to that include the 2.x console.
CAM 5.1 and later will work with and use the 3.x console if it's already installed on the host. We are still bundling the 2.x console in our distribution and install it when necessary. We are planning on bundling the 3.x console with our next release of CAM. CAM has not been qualified on Solaris Nevada and is not supported at this time but we recognize that there have been developer and express releases of Nevada and apparently some interest in running CAM on those. We will be figuring out how best to support this. One question I have is how are other software products including system requirements for an OS that has not reached FCS (revenue release)? Is installing JES5 on Nevada supported for example? According to page 6 of http://www.sun.com/software/javaenterprisesystem/datasheet.pdf#10 it isn't. _______________________________________________ storage-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/storage-discuss
