I know that the current revision of the AVS source code, when  
compiled on Solaris 10 any update, will for the most part work  
without issue. Where doing so becomes a problem, is that if there are  
issues, it will be differences between S10u3 and OpenSolaris, since  
the AVS source code is the same.

Specific areas of change between S10u3 and OpenSolaris, is in regards  
to the use of ZFS zvols as component of AVS replicas and snapshots.

Yes, I would consider changing VERSION from 11.11.0 to 11.10.0, not  
just remove the version checking code.
