Can someone confirm or deny that the iscsi target refuses access if the initiator is coming from the local system?
I tried to set a static target with IP address both of 127.0.0.1 and the machine's IP address, and in both cases, I got an error of "login failed - Initiator is not allowed access to the given target. (0x02/0x02)" I wouldn't be surprised to see such a restriction... There probably aren't very many use cases where an iSCSI target is used by the same host that is providing the target. So why am I doing this, you might ask? well, I was hoping to see some of the same crashes I'd seen on a physical system under vmware (so I can narrow down the causes), and rather than run 2 instances of OpenSolaris, I'd hoped to run just 1. --Joe _______________________________________________ storage-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/storage-discuss
