There will be a new version of the Solaris SAN Configuration
and Multipathing Guide published on docs.sun.com, but I
do not know when it will appear.

In the meantime, yes, mpathadm will work with your
mpt-controller SAS HBAs, and you should use the
stmsboot(1m) command for configuring MPxIO.

We have not released the patches for Solaris 10
support yet, and while I expect them to be available
quite soon, I don't have a date for them.

You will know if you have support for MPxIO on
mpt-attached SAS HBAs because the stmsboot(1m)
command has been updated to take an argument of
"-D mpt" -- if you see that mentioned in the
help text/usage message for the command, then you
can start using MPxIO on those HBAs.
