This does not look like the correct core.
Here is how I configure Solaris to generate useful core files:
# coreadm -g /var/crash/solaris/core.%f.%p
# coreadm -G all
# coreadm -e log
# coreadm -e global
# coreadm
global core file pattern: /var/crash/solaris/core.%f.%p
global core file content: all
init core file pattern: core
init core file content: default
global core dumps: enabled
per-process core dumps: enabled
global setid core dumps: disabled
per-process setid core dumps: disabled
global core dump logging: enabled
Please try the settings, and then try again to generate a core from
the iscsi target.
The date/time in the log should correspond with the core file, like this:
# tail /var/svc/log/system-iscsitgt\:default.log
[ Apr 3 00:10:24 Stopping because process dumped core. ]
# cd /var/crash/solaris
# ls -l
-rw------- 1 root root 9546607 Apr 3 00:10 core.iscsitgtd.3374
