As I mentioned in a previous e-mail the iSER project is live and underway (http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/iser/). One thing I should have mentioned is that we have setup an e-mail alias for iSER development communication:
http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/iser-dev If you are interested in iSER development or in the new COMSTAR iSCSI target (which is an incremental deliverable for the iSER target) feel free to subscribe and participate on this new e-mail alias. We are working on getting our project development gate out in the open. Ideally we'd like to transition our current Teamware gate to an open Mercurial repository but I need to work out the logistics of how we will get there (should be soon). In the meantime Tim Szeto's recent public code review for the current iSCSI target and the accompanying interest by the storage community got me thinking: is there value in posting our iSER code reviews on the iser-dev e-mail alias for public comment prior to getting the project repository itself opened up? Each review effectively puts the project code in the open since the entire modified file is part of the review. -Peter _______________________________________________ storage-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/storage-discuss
