Hi, Thanks Julian for answering my questions. However, I don�t think I made myself clear on my last post so Ill try again.
My assumption with idmapping and CIFS server running as an AD client that the configuration would allow a user to work on a file that they created on an NFS mounted file system authenticating against NIS (a UNIX workstation) and CIFS mounted file system authenticating against Active directory (a Windows workstation).
