James, Thanks for you reply. We are currently using Veritas DMP for multipathing. I understand MPxIO creates one psedo device to represent all the paths to a physical disk/LUN. So with MPxIO, does it mean that Solaris will just need to discover the MPxIO pseudo device indtead of all the paths a LUN thereforce make the boot process much shorter?
