Any insight as to when honeycomb will make its way into opensolaris... I feel
the technology is a good fit for some things we are trying to accomplish, but
am not "sure" it is... and the sun price point to get into a storagetek 5800 is
steep... much higher then if we were to buy the components from sun (although
one cannot be sure since the x2100s with 4 sata... which also begs the question
of why they don't sell those)... I am guessing there is only about 40-50k in
hardware involved in a half-cell, but it sells for 100k. A 50% premium is hard
to explain to management no matter how good a fit the system is for our
projects.
