The long targets/device names come from targets that Solaris supports
multipathing for. To see some of the devices, run:
mpathadm show mpath-support libmpscsi_vhci.so
You can make changes in /kernel/dev/scsi_vhci.conf to add targets that support
multipathing.
The thing I like about those long device names is they tend to be the same from
host to host. So a LUN on a SAN shows up with the same device name on
multiple hosts.
