Thanks all for your help, things are working as expected now (and as a side effect another strange issue I was having is also now fixed). Adding it to scsi_vhci.conf worked...wish it weren't so buried in the docs. (And the iSCSI Solaris docs don't really reference it.)
Nigel, I couldn't get your link to load, not sure if it was a docs.sun problem. -- William Yang [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent from my mobile device. -----Original Message----- From: John Forte <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, August 08, 2008 11:23 AM To: Andrew C. That's the more likely reason why it isn't showing up as an mpxio device, rather than a bad or missing logical unit identifier (VPD 83h) as I mentioned in a previous response. More information on scsi_vhci.conf changes and scsi_vhci requirements for multipathing support for a device can be found at: http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-1931/gfjtx?l=en&a=view and in the manpage, scsi_vhci(7D). - John > The thing I like about those long device names is they tend to be the same > from host to host.
