Yes, I noticed that. It is very strange and I don't think I have any
control over it.
There is an inexplicable slowness on fp1 and I sometimes see a few
retryable hardware errors for drives accessed via it. I may shut the
system down, swap FC cables, and see if the slowness follows the
cable or if it stays on the same port. If it stays on the same port,
then my FC host adaptor must be to blame. Otherwise it must be the
cable or the 2540 controller card.
After resetting the 2540's controllers, I notice this Critical message
in its event log, which has never occured before:

Maybe it is time to call Sun support ...
