Hi Sean
I did a quick checkup here with emlxs in target mode attached to a
QLogic in initiator in a private loop (direct attach) and it seems to
be working fine. Emulex can probably provide more steps into how to
debug their driver, but here are some things to try:
1. Make sure that the Mac initiator is working by attaching it to
some known working target.
2. Attach the mac initiator back to emlxs running in target mode and
run 'stmfadm list-target -v' and make sure that the following is true:
- You can see the emulex target ports.
- The 'Operation status' of these ports is online
3. If the above 2 are true, you should also see 'Sessions' in the
output of stmfadm list-target -v output. number of sessions should be
non-zero. If thats not the case i.e. the number of sessions are zero,
then you have a problem at the fibre link level which would indicate
an issue with the emlxs driver. If the number of sessions are non-
zero then you have a problem at the SCSI level which is very unlikely
as we have well tested the SCSI layer with MAC initiators.
Let us know what you find.
