I am fairly positive that this is NOT going to work.
This implies that the build process, running on S10u6, is build a
version of AVS whose O/S references (both user-mode and kernel-mode)
are resolved against the build of OpenSolaris from 20081017, not
S10u6. Later when this version is pkgadd'ed to S10u6, I am surprised
that symbol references are not left unresolved when the user or kernel
mode modules are loaded into memory.
I know that between Solaris 9 and Solaris 10, AVS went through a very
proactive process of removing non-contractual interfaces with the rest
of Solaris. This is likely the reason why AVS could be built cleanly
(without unresolved build references), or loads into memory (without
unresolved symbol references). Or does it..., set below.

Based on the information present so far, AVS is not working for you on
either the primary or secondary node. Disabling all of AVS, deleting
all configuration data, was bringing AVS to a common starting point on
both nodes. It is your decision to perform these steps on only one node.
Based on the information presented above, I would suggest running the
'tail' utility against /var/adm/messages as a background task when
performing the configuration steps, looking for messages that are
ERRORs.
# tail -f /var/adm/messages &
dscfgadm -d
rm /etc/dscfg_local
dscfgadm
sndradm -e primary /dev/rdsk/c2t17d0s7 /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s5 secondary /
dev/md/rdsk/d20 /dev/rdsk/c1t1d0s7 ip async
sndradm -e primary /dev/rdsk/c2t17d0s6 /dev/rdsk/c0t1d0s6 secondary /
dev/md/rdsk/d50 /dev/rdsk/c1t1d0s6 ip async
<repeat above on other node>
.
.
<back on the primary node>
sndradm -nu
When all done, bring the background tail process into the foreground,
and stop it.
fg
^C
<repeat above on other node>
