Karl,

I believe I found the problem. ipnodes was set to "dns files" in / etc/nsswitch.conf

Setting it to "files dns" fixed the blank dsstat.

I'm now going to set it back to "dns files" and configure the avs primary/secondary with fqdn's.

In the AVS docs, http://docs.sun.com/app/docs?p=coll%2FAVS4.0, it states the ....

When the hosts: and services: entries are included in the /etc/ nsswitch.conf file, ensure that files is placed before nis, nisplus, ldap, dns, or any other name service the machine is using.

The reason for this is that at Solars boot time, SNDR must be configured and enabled before any networking naming service is started, and therefore SNDR secondary nodes must be entered in /etc/ hosts.
