Alright,
I believe I found the problem. ipnodes was set to "dns files" in
/etc/nsswitch.conf
Setting it to "files dns" fixed the blank dsstat.
I'm now going to set it back to "dns files" and configure the avs
primary/secondary with fqdn's.
