Hey guys,
It would appear there are two issues being discussed in this
thread, and we certainly appreciate any and all input. Can anyone
comment on the RPC issues and what was done to resolve them?
I'm still stuck :(
Due to changes made in repackaging AVS's eight SRV4 packages, into the
four IPS packages, the later used in updating OpenSolaris 2008.11, the
AVS packages are not being installed properly, and therefore AVS
falls to startup. Not sure if this is all packaging, or changes to
OpenSolaris 2008.11, or both. Time spent in debugging an AVS install,
and post-installation processing with IPS is needed.
As an interim, AVS still works correctly in Solaris Express Community
Edition: http://opensolaris.org/os/downloads/sol_ex_dvd_1/
- I want to give up and try something else, but
IMHO there just isn't an equivalent solution for low bandwidth
active/active filesystem replication.
Joshua - Have you had any luck in resolving this RPC issue with AVS
replication between two nodes?
