Thanks for the response Jim. I received your other email a few weeks ago, and while I'm confident I already tried manually installing packages in the correct order, I've been extremely busy with a new position and have been unable to return to this project. I would have tried Solaris Express on my own, but don't have DVD drives in these machines, and the older Solaris CD build doesn't support my RAID controller. This is why I'm using 2008.11. Before I begin again (hopefully soon) - could you give me a little direction? I currently want to do this with two 'PCs', each with 6 SATA drives. I currently have 150GB of mail files - 99% are small, <5k. When complete - 1. Will I have usable 3 drives on each box? 2. Should I double the # of drives for better ZFS RAIDZ performance?
