I wasn't even aware of PogoLinux, thanks for the tip.  I guess I
wouldn't be surprised if the components are similar to the SM boxes
(SuperMicro cases and moboards, etc).  In this case, I think the
controller cards are key.  We're going with the LSI card on our SM
server (or the PL server if we decide to go that route) which I think
stands a better chance of running under Sol 10 x86 or OpenSolaris than
3Ware does.
