Some one emailed me recommending there ASUS P5BV/SAS which has a 8 port lsi sas
controller built in and 2 pci-x slots. for the price ~£280 its good value with
the lsi built in.

The intel little falls 2 looks great but would only give me 2 new sata ports (2
onbord + 4 on a add-in card.) i would recommend such a setup, as i would the
1.8GHz VIA Epia SN, to anyone needing no more than a 4 disk raidz 2 disk
mirrored rpool.

I need 6 sata ports now and some way to expand in the future either pci-x or
pci-e.

Im going to investigate the P5BV/SAS as a possibility(not everything works e.g
4 intel sata ports) but would still like any suggestions you may have.

Another emailed suggestion was to use Vmware under Linux to get round driver
issues.
