Hello!
I'm trying to setup Fibre Channel SAN using OpenSolaris 2008.11 and 2009.6.
I have simple setup:
Target is OpenSolaris 2009.6 (snv_111a), with Emulex LP9802 (in target mode).

Initiator is Opensolaris 2008.11 (snv_101b), with QLogic QLA2300.
Target and initiator are connected trough HP edge switch 16/24 (all ports are
in single default zone) (switch is running in MC DataFabric mode) and those two
systems are alone on that switch.

After following COMSTAR manuals I can import/see drives on the initiator:
- format lists all drives with proper label and information
- I can create and use zpool on those drives (on the initiator...)

After initiator reboot I can no longer use those drives:
- format shows only one of them with "drive type unknown"
- zpool on those drives is blocked (every zpool and zfs operation blocks) (that
is already known zfs bug).

And initiator stays in that state until I do one of the following:
- reboot target!
- disable/enable stmf on target!
- physically disconnect and reconnect target (not initiator!!!) on switch.
after that initiator returns to working state (format shows all disks, zpool
can import pools...)

The logs on initiator show:
- FC port disconnect/reconnect when I yank fibre from the switch and plug-it
back in
- fabric change/discovery when I physically disconnect/reconnect target (or
reboot it).

Logs on target shows:
- nothing when I reboot/disconnect initiator
- FC port disconnect/reconnect when I yank fibre from the switch and plug-it
back in.

I have also tested with host groups (on target) and with port based zones on
switch but symptoms are the same.

Are there any suggestions how to solve this issue?

Best Regards!
