Yessir, all up-to-date. I'm very concerned about running preview builds, but
I've got to make this work one way or the other.
I've built a bit of a lab at home (ESX4 and Osol 111b on VMware Workstation)
and getting the same results. Very simple setup:
ESX host:
vSwitch0 - uplink vmnic0 - Service Console - primary network (home inet)
vSwitch1 - uplink vmnic1 - vmknic for iSCSI - runs on separate network
OS 111b host:
e1000g0 - primary network (home inet)
e1000g1 - separate network for iscsi (same as vmknic, above)
/dev/zvol/rdsk/rpool/test (2GB) - created lun
esx-hg and esx-tg created, members added, view to lun, above
Initially, in my test, I had a tpg created to restrict to e1000g1 IP (iSCSI
network), then removed it to see if it would make a difference. If anything, I
would expect the no-tpg config to generate errors as there is no vmkernel nic
on the home-inet network.
At work, running jumbo frames, at home (vmware), running std 1500.
Both configuration generate the same error. So, completely different networks,
completely different "hardware" and same problem. Am I missing something
simple? I've been testing this for like 6 months with no issues - then go
live and now this... Doesn't make any sense.
