Sure there are no snapshots ?

Later releases of OpenSolaris do not list snapshots via "zfs list" anymore. You have to run "zfs list -t snapshot"

I am also experiencing the same problem reported here. In our case virtual
machines are backed up to an opensolaris machine via nfs and a script called
ghettovcb.sh. The script automatically deletes/rotates old backups. It seems it
does delete the files from zfs but zfs is not reclaiming the space. I have no
snapshots on the filesystem so are wondering where the space has gone. I
removed some files from the opensolaris machine via rm over a ssh session and
it deleted the files and reclaimed the space correctly. I'm wondering if this a
zfs/nfs share thing?
