Hello,

VMware has released a new version of their vSphere product. One of the big new
features is what they are calling the vStorage API for Array Integration (VAAI).

It looks like most of the alleged benefits come from support for these three
SCSI commands:

Compare and Swap
Write Same
Extended Copy

These are leveraged to allow 'hardware accelerated' locking, zeroing and
intra-array copies.

I think that these are commands COMSTAR would have to implement in order for
people to take advantage of the new VMware features. Is this correct? If so,
are any of these commands already implemented?

Thanks,

-Will
