Yes,I can certainly sympathize with you.I know how I spend almost an
hour
trying to make the freking xfs-xtt to recognize ttf's ,and I still
couldn't.I finally gave up and installed xfstt and took me a whole 5
minutes to have ttf's available to apps.
 That's why I think it may be more easy to just purge a package then
reinstall it,the postinstall scripts "should" take care of everything.
