My best guess ,you didn't properly tell lilo where the kernel is
and more likely you're using e.g. the storm kerenl with SUSE or
viceversa .To make sure just type uname -a and you will see which
distros kernel you are booting(e.g. Linux foo 2.2.16-storm ....)
