apt-get worked like i've read it would! believe the hype! and thanks
for the pointers from all who assisted me.
here's my latest prob, all packages have been installed with the
exception of the setserial package...reason is that debconf is running
in "web" mode and I don't have a web server(and don't want to run
one!)...the process just hangs and waits, I assume, for web access to
guide it through to completion.
how can I place debconf in, I guess "text mode", for lack of a better
term...I'm a redhat user migrating to deb/storm? the man pages for
debconf are not loaded, "man debconf" does nothing, so if someone would
tell me what package to install for the debconf man pages, I'd be glad
to read 'em, too.
