same thing happens after I "dpkg-reconfigure --frontend=dialog debconf",
but thanks anyway...
this is what my system said when I "dpkg -i package.deb"
(Reading database ... 31273 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace OLD_PACKAGE.deb (using NEW_PACKAGE.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement PACKAGE ...
Setting up NEW_PACKAGE ...
Note: Debconf is running in web mode. Go to http://localhost:8001/
...and the system hangs. guess it's not too critical a problem cause I
have already installed some apps from source tar balls with no problems,
but if anyone else can provide some insight...please do so!!!!
