I am trying to discover if my ActionTec dataLink
V.90 pcmcia 56k modem
is Linux compatible. The ActionTec site
suggests that it is not, or at least
they do not mention Linux on their OS compatibility
list.
seems to appear to suggest this modem is Linux
compatible and gives it a 5.0
rating.
I am confused. Does the listed site really
state Linux compatibility or merely
that someone somewhere using some undefined OS and
hardware platform
tested this modem and found it to be an
excellent?
Stormix does not seem to recognize this modem and I
will sell or swap it if I
cannot determine that it should
be recognized and that I need to look
elsewhere
in my laptop Stormix/Debian Linux setup for the
solution.
