Guess I need to look elsewhere for the failure to recogize my 3com network card, hmmmm. As for wiping things out, I accepted the defaults in Stormix, it did the rest ... :-) I bought the laptop used a couple of years ago and have really used it! So much stuff has been loaded and unloaded, modified and upgraded that I thought with the Stormix install I'd start real clean. Guess with HP laptops there is such a thing as too clean? I do have the HP recovery CD (actually, for some reason I have two of them). Is Phdisk something I can find on them and reload through BIOS? Thanks!
