Give me five dedicated entrepreneurs working on whatever in response to their markets under (consciously or unconsciously) an umbrella of social and environmental sustainability, and favorable policy and no donor interventions screwing up their capacity and incentive to handle their realities,---- and you will see pretty quickly what real development is all about. Link them as contributors and paid trainers (directly by the would be trainees) and watch it all grow. Its a kind of sweet spot of development work really. Its taken me only about 16 years to figure it out and another 15 to get there.
