Using a voltage regulator is not a good idea. The grid frequency is apparently 
60Hz as in the US. A better solution is replacing the motor pulley with a 
cylindrical wooden pulley of the right diameter. The normal grooved pulley on 
the intermediate shaft will keep the belt in place.
