Wouldn't this only help to allow Ruminator to extend the deadline to aquire the $1 million or so they owe? Others may know more than me but I thought I heard they were in trouble a while ago. It doesn't seem that making the extension deadline will give them the time to turn it around but only extend their life support. I am not opposed to handing out a little cash to help them out, especially in the form of loans. But loans are funds you expect to get back and in the Ruminator case this looks like a hand out dressed up as a loan because how could it be paid back?
