What I've heard is that the owner plans to convert the entire building into condominiums and is making an effort to complete two model unit for the Parade of Homes tour. There may well exist a public easement through the building, which would have to be honored. You can call Dave Nelson in the City's Real Estate department. You should also contact The CapitolRiver Council at 651 221-0488. They are in the process of re-establishing a Skyway Advisory Committee with the help from Dave Thune. Is it going forward, or just a proposal? - What are their plans for maintaining public access to the skyway? - Are there any specific city policies or restrictions about developers restricting public access to existing parts of the skyway? I guess the direction I'm going with this is obvious. Skyway access on that end of Lowertown is already spotty, and as a resident and business owner in Lowertown I would prefer that the skyway be expanded rather than contracted. So I'd like to find out what the exact plans are for the portion of the skyway that currently goes through LBC, and if they plan to restrict access in any way, is there something that can be done to stop it? Thanks ahead of time for any pointers, Jim Ivey Downtown St. Paul _____________________________________________ NEW ADDRESS FOR LIST: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To subscribe, modify subscription, or get your password - visit: http://www.mnforum.org/mailman/listinfo/stpaul Archive Address: http://www.mnforum.org/mailman/private/stpaul/ _____________________________________________ For state and national discussions see: http://e-democracy.org/discuss.html For external forums, see: http://e-democracy.org/mninteract _____________________________________________ NEW ADDRESS FOR LIST: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To subscribe, modify subscription, or get your password - visit: http://www.mnforum.org/mailman/listinfo/stpaul Archive Address: http://www.mnforum.org/mailman/private/stpaul/ _____________________________________________ For state and national discussions see: http://e-democracy.org/discuss.html For external forums, see: http://e-democracy.org/mninteract
