Jime Toscano has lived in St. Paul for forty years after taking a leave from teaching at the Wharton School for a year to run and organize the program of the World Press Institue at Macalester. In those forty years, we've raised four children and some Cain, the latest on the atrocious neighborhood assault of St. Thomas on the Historic Preservation district. In the forty years, I've served at Macalester, as head of international propgrams and head of development and public relations. Roger Swardson (God bless his soul), Margaret Day and I created the Scottish Country Fair and had a lot to do with the revival of Grand Avenue with Ernie Sandeen, Dave Lanegran, John Dozier and others.. Then I went to the Society oif Fine Arts as VP (Minneapolis Institute of Arts, College of Art and Design and Children's Theater) then on, via the Attorney General to turn things around at the Minnesota Museum of American Art, 1979-81, where I moved recently abandoned galleries to Landmark, thence to the Park Nicollet Institut where I still am. Along the way, I taught in the MBA program at UST, although they won't let me teach any more because I publically objected to the expansion plans, and called the good Father Deese a captive of the ambitions of his Board. I now teach at the graduate school at Hamline University. I've tauight at Yale, Penn (Wharton) Macalester, UST and now Hamline, am active on numerous board and am considered an elder in the development community. My degrees are in political science from Rutgers and Yale. jim toscano _____________________________________________ SPPS Budget Reduction Forum - Feb. 23-27 Co-Sponsored By NEAT: http://www.stpaulneat.org/ _____________________________________________ NEW ADDRESS FOR LIST: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To subscribe, modify subscription, or get your password - visit: http://www.mnforum.org/mailman/listinfo/stpaul Archive Address: http://www.mnforum.org/mailman/private/stpaul/
