I object to contacting public officials at home for a somewhat different reason. The public acts of public officials should should occur in public locations. Meetings between public officials and constituents whether confrontational or conspiritorial where public business is discussed should not be held in secret. The boundary between running for office and serving in office is tough enough to maintain when they occur in different locations.
