  St. Paul E-Democracy Discussion about
      DISTRICT COUNCILS IN ST. PAUL
Brewery Cafe - 945 W 7th - April 14th - 7-9 PM
==============================================

OK - As you can tell, District Council stuff is the theme for this week (at least, it is now).

Here is an idea for community organizers. A neighborhood garage sale. Back in the old days, I organized the Hamline Midway community garage sale for 2 years running (about 10 years ago). It was a lot of fun and a good community project. I don't think it has happened for about 9 years.

What interesting or exciting projects are happening in your neighborhood?

The St. Paul Issues Forum isn't just about reading, it also about sharing - information and opinions. Share your great ideas for building community with the rest of the city. What's the best thing that your district council has ever done?

Como Community Garage Sale May 22

It's never too early to begin planning your garage sale! This year the neighborhood sale will be held Saturday, May 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Participation is free (a freewill donation to cover some of our costs is always, of course, appreciated). The District Council advertises the sale in several neighborhood newspapers and both local daily papers. Flyers and maps are made available throughout the neighborhood and on the District 10 website (www.ComoPark.org). In 2003, the sale was also listed in Minneapolis/Saint Paul magazine, which we hope will happen again this year. For more details, call the office at 651-644-3889, e-mail us at [EMAIL PROTECTED], or go to our website at ComoPark.org. Signup deadline is May 15.
