It's not a matter of "fundamental inconsistency" at
issue here, only a fundamentally collectivist
mentality would confuse the "opportunity for success"
(or just a job if that's all one is shooting for) that
capitalism holds with the demeaning, dignity draining
prison that is "guaranteed full employment".
On another note, I find it highly amusing that one of
the arguements against allowing the police to check
the immigration status (or even ask) of people they
come into contact with is that there is not enough
resources; but we evidently have the resources to put
the cops on "smoke watch". Guess it's all a matter of
priorities!
BTW, as I said earlier, I don't smoke..by choice.
