A letter on their letter head should have > pretty much made > that clear that it was in invite from the WILD and > not the NHL. The Minnesota Wild were the hosts of the all-star game. If any kind of correspondence was sent having to do with the all-star game it would likely come from the wild. The Wild though, had zero financial interest in the tickets sold for the event. That was under control of the NHL. The NHL set ticket prices for the events, determined how many and what seats they got and what they gave the wild to offer to its season ticket holders. The Wild needed approval from the NHL to split the skills comp tickets and the game tickets to allow every STH a chance at attending one event. As I understand this is the first time this has happened. In the past they were only sold as a package. It was clear that the NHL was running the show. Why I think this lawsuit was politically motivated is the suit didn't include 2 members who bought tickets through this offer but also were season ticket holders. Not sure why they would be left out.
