I, a resident of Roseville, was at the meeting Bob Treumann spoke at. I
welcomed his comments.

Out here in Roseville we're very close to Falcon Heights and Lauderdale,
as well as to ward 4 of StPaul. I go to businesses and parks and services
in all. What happens in any of them directly affects me.

We could on the other hand try to restrict ourselves down to just our
city, just our ward, just our precinct, just our block, just our building,
just our person. With enough slicing and dicing, we can cut away
community, be left with isolated individuals authorized to be concerned
only with themselves, now.

Odds are we like others to be involved if they share our views, but prefer
them to mind their own business if they don't.

I actually enjoy meetings of diverse people, even if it means I or my
views don't always win. There is more wisdom in a group jointly, than
in the total of all those members individually.
