Here we go on the great IRV discussion again. The effort is lead by the minor parties
who have failed to establish themselves as viable alternatives to either of the major
parties and are instead offering a voting process that great strength is to tell the
public that no matter what you do or who you vote for it doesn't matter because you
might still be a winner!

It sounds like an add for Publishers Clearing House. Just rank your candidates one
through four and we will keep scratching your ballot until you hit a winning number!

Elections aren't a freaking game. There is no prize in the cracker jack box. They
are about selecting a person to represent you. Who you chose matters. Who you vote
for matters. If you voted for Nader in the last election, you voted for George W Bush
for president. Get over it and don't do it again! But, to come up with a convoluted
system that requires the average voter to make multiple choices on who they want for
dog catcher would do more to send people away from the polls than any other scheme
imagined.

People aren't looking to take a multiple guess quiz when they go to vote and most
people don't view elections as a parlor game.

Why it works in other countries and not hear is simple they have real third parties
that pull better than 5% of the vote.
