I believe that Mr. Tester and others who lack any respect for the choice of
the people is the first thing I would like to address. Ms. McCollum got
into office because the majority of her constituency voted for her.

Secondly, there are many people in office that will not get my vote this
election year, however, the choice of the people should always be respected.
It isn't like Ms. McCollum does not have the education or the expertise or
experience by holding other offices to not be qualified to run and hold
office. As far as what types of jobs she has held in the past, I find Mr.
Tester's demeaning tone quite remarkable. That one would show their lack of
understanding so blatantly for all of the citizens on this forum to behold.

Most people who have not worked a variety of jobs lack a basic understanding
and empathy for those who have. I think the fact that Ms. McCollum worked
in retail is a great asset. I have worked in retail, and I would state that
most everyone who frequents this list has worked in retail. This experience
makes her uniquely qualified to understand that the retail world is the
final frontier where lack of health insurance, and other benefits permeate
the workplace.

To not honor good, hard and honest work, whether it be retail, or someone
that hauls away our garbage or repairs our roads, or cleans out our public
restrooms and workplaces, smacks of ignorance and elitism. All work that is
honest should be honored and respected.

I would guess the next thing we will hear about from Mr. Tester is that a
woman can't do the job as well as a man can.

In case that is true, I would just like to reaffirm that we are no longer in
the Jurassic Age.

Ms. McCollum is doing an honorable job, and as long as her constituency
thinks the same thing, I would imagine she will be in Washington. Those
that have the courage to run against her have that right and should be
applauded. Those naysayers that seem to be armchair judges these days
should try running themselves. It is the hardest job you will ever do.

Mr. Tester, seeing you seem to have all the time in the world to criticize,
you must have wonderful solutions that Ms. McCollum has not tapped yet.

However, I don't see your name on the ballot.

diddly squat for this district. I suppose it's as much as could be
expected, since her last job was clerking at Dayton's. She's just going to
float through the rest of her political life, living large on congressional
pay and occasionally giving the standard partisan speech just to remind her
supporters that she's still in D.C. What a pathetic replacement for Bruce
Vento.
