I got 93% of Minnesotans to stay home on primary day (highest voter apathy % in state history)!
With little to vote for in the primary, it is certainly not Kiffmeyer's fault that so few showed up at the polls. Maybe if there had been some contest in the DFL, Rep parties there might have been a better turn out, but then we would be hearing about all the infighting before the primary. Problem with being in a state whose primaries are AFTER the convention is you get what THEY put on the ballot.
Oh, by the way, we're out of Voter reg cards.
From what I have seen, read and heard, they had alot of voter cards ready, and are getting more each day to help make up for the unexpected drives by many groups to register as many voters as possible. So it is not really Kiffmeyer's fault that so many people are pushing the REGISTER TO VOTE drives and eating up all the cards. Maybe there is a movement to suck up all the cards so that this kind of claim can be made. :-)
Angry? Yes. Activated to register voters? More than ever.
Maybe it would be better to activate people to actually go to the polls. Registering is great, but you can do that at the poll, getting people to actually vote would be even better use of Anger energy.
Kiffmeyer can be blamed for lots of things, but you can get registration cards from every County Elections Office, they have no shortages from what I see.
To bring this back to SOME sort of ST PAUL relevance, I just called Ramsey County Elections in DT and they have plenty of cards for anyone who needs them.
