Improving Minnesota�s air and water quality often requires home-grown
innovation. But taking stock of ground-breaking efforts across the country
provides inspiration and insight for Minnesota�s environmental leaders. On
October 28, leaders from the Chicago Climate Exchange and Maryland�s
Chesapeake Bay Initiative will discuss these nationally recognized
pollution-reduction models and their significance to people interested in
the clean air and impaired waters work taking place in Minnesota.

Speakers:

Chuck Dayton, Board of Directors - Minnesota Center for Environmental
Advocacy 
Chuck Dayton, an attorney and long-time champion in the state's
environmental policy circles, will open the forum by discussing Minnesota's
national leadership on environmental issues and the value of learning from
major environmental initiatives throughout the country.

Michael J. Walsh, Senior Vice President � Chicago Climate Exchange
The Chicago Climate Exchange is the world's first multi-national and
multi-sector marketplace for reducing and trading greenhouse gas emissions.

Bob Summers, Director � Water Management Administration, Maryland Department
of Environment
Bob Summers is described as the �overall champion� for Maryland�s 2004
Chesapeake Bay legislation, which will reduce nutrient pollution in the bay
by over 270 million pounds per year and generate over $77 million per year
for a new Bay Restoration Fund.
