Of course one small section of what I was trying to point out is taken and an entire diatribe is created from it. SO back to the point I was attempting to make...

The DFL is screwed up big time, if it expects to win the mayors office, they need to get their ducks in order. They can start with the manner in which they maintain their databases, then move on to the support they give their endorsed candidates, they can finish off by utilizing the internet to a greater degree than they do now.
This is the second race in which I have assisted DFL candidates in as many years. You obviously have never tried to get information from the DFL, be it city or state? Information that should be a mouse click and email away takes days, sometimes weeks, or sometimes never comes at all.
The data, if it does come, is in such an ancient format that it's next to impossible to import into software used by campaigns. This goes from Delegate lists on up to Voter Registration lists and the numerous amounts of information contained (none of which is defined so anyone could figure it out) and in different formats that it makes it extremely difficult to manage. Campaigns shouldn't have to hire a database manager to deal with the multiple formats and difficulties of just the databases the DFL has.
On the other hand information obtained from the SOS and other state agencies, the information is in remarkably similar formats, comes complete with explanations as to what is contained in the data. Not to mention usually available within a few days. Then there is the fact that it's also easily mergeable into almost any database type software.
Candidates don't usually ask for a whole lot from the party, mostly databases of names of supporters, delegates, an things of this nature.... There is simply no excuse why the information isn't made available in a prompt manner, or in a modern format, or without descriptions of what is contained in the data.
You can talk about all the great advances the DFL made in the City Council races, even taking back some of the house seats, but it wasn't due to Candidate Support from the Party or it's "Faithfull", "Loyalists", "Insiders".
See these are things that Kelly already has, tools already at his disposal, weapons ready to be unleashed... things another candidate has to attempt to muster and formulate, with time fast slipping away. A Million the Mayor is ready to spend that's $1,000,000.00 for a job that pays what?
What's really funny is there is talk of Chris Coleman running for Mayor..... Hahhaaa, I wonder as mayor how long he wouold be able to feign interest... See below
