I was going to say something like: " Jeez, you were doing so well there for
a while! I was getting disoriented and even had to recheck to see who the
sender was. We're getting somewhere!"

Then I was going to say something like "<deleted by the Thought Police>"

Consider yourself yellow-carded, a la Rule 873.88b, Section C49-a,
Subsection 12, "The Citizen Arrest." Let's not let this get out of hand
just because the referee is leaving the game for a while. You give good
Republicans like, like, um, uh, well,... You're not helping your cause
any!

You know, messages like the below are exactly what degrade the level of
discussion on this forum. Apparently the de facto rule seems to have
become "Let no civil word go without an ideological retort." How
disappointing.

It's still early January--hope we can strive for better this year.

Best, all,

Coming from Tim, this is ironic as hell, because in addition to introducing

me to The Bard in English Lit., in George's philosophy class he provided me

with my first taste of conservative-libertarian thought. I think he was a
big Goldwater guy. He certainly wasn't a liberal twit as a football coach
either.
