I think Brian states very well why many of us from St. Paul will be at the
rally. I think the reason why ed. finance is getting a lot of attention in
and around St. Paul is that parents are tired of seeing the impacts of the
drastic cuts on the schools and classrooms. And I also think it's the result
of hard work by people like Brian, Jennifer Armstrong of NEAT, and the
Parents United Network headed up by Mary Cecconi. A lot of really
intelligent strategic work has been taking place, and let's hope that the
$750 million education bill that Steve Kelley is co-sponsoring in the senate
has some legs this session.
