In recent years, "publicly-funded" education doesn't necessarily mean Public Schools. Were Charter Schools a part of all this?
I've been reading most of the postings on this, but I have not seen a mention of Charter Schools at all. So, what was this rally all about? Matt, I found the rally exciting and energizing because of the large number of both inner city and suburban schools, kids and parents who attended. The message was loud and to the point; stop the rhetoric and start properly funding public education. One of the best speakers was a senior from a suburban district who asked if legislatures and the governor could do there jobs in over crowded conditions with not enough materials. It was a great show of support for Public Education and true proper funding.
